Membership Information

Membership to The joi Database is handled through patreon. To become a member you must have your account linked to your patreon account, this can be done via the account options page. Additionally, you must be a patron of The joi Database, link can be found below in the footer.

Become a member grants the following:

Tier 1

• Copper glow around your profile icon
• Tier 1 supporter badge ³

Tier 2

• Silver glow around your profile icon
• Access to locking your content to patreon¹
• Tier 2 supporter badge ³

Tier 3

• Golden glow around your profile icon
• Access to locking your content to patreon¹
• 4K video uploads²
• Tier 3 supporter badge ³

[1] This feature allows creators to be certain their videos cannot be viewed by people who aren't patrons. Sites like kemono.party scrape patreon and provide the content for free, this prevents that from working.

[2] Viewers do not require tier 3 to view 4K content. This benefit allows creators to have their videos processed at 4K resolution and bitrate instead of the normal 1080p. Upload limit is also raised to 6GB from 3GB, this is not listed as a selling point as it is still experimental.

[3] Supporter badges will remain with your account even if you cancel your membership. The badge is a permanent addition to your account. If you upgrade your membership, for example from tier 1 to tier 2, your tier 1 badge will be replaced with a tier 2 badge. If you downgrade your membership, you will keep the higher tier badge.
